The hits keep on coming for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes. One day after four-star blue chip quarterback Antwann Hill decommitted from the program, another class of 2025 player decided to re-open his recruitment.  Three-star running back Jamarice Wilder has decommitted from Colorado.

Wilder, a 5-foot-9, 180-pound running back from Venice, FL, verbally committed to the Buffaloes in August. He’s the third player to decommit from the Buffaloes-- following Hill and Class of 2024 quarterback Danny O’Neil -- in the last 24-hours and leaves Coach Prime without a committed player for the Class of 2025. Winston Watkins Jr., a five-star 2025 wide receiver from Naples, FL, decommitted from Colorado earlier this month.

Wilder told BuffsBeat he was "keeping his options open", but "still has love for Colorado." Sanders made it clear what he thought about players decommitting during his weekly press conference last Tuesday. “A kid ain’t even faithful to his girlfriend. You think (he’s) gonna be faithful to a school? Come on man. That’s an emotional thing.” Sanders said.

With just over three weeks to go until the early signing period begins, Colorado’s 2024 class is currently No. 65 in the nation per the 247Sports Composite rankings. Highlighted by four-star athletes Kamron Mikell (No. 79 in the Top 247) and Aaron Butler (No. 88 in the Top 247), the Buffaloes currently have nine hard commits for the Class of 2024.

In 2023, Colorado finished with No. 29 in the 247Sports composite rankings, but No. 1 in the website’s Transfer Portal team rankings after bringing in 51 transfer players. This year’s winter transfer window – reduced from 45 to 30 days from last season -- opens Monday, December 4.
