There’s so much mutual admiration between Deion Sanders and Chip Kelly. That is not changing anytime soon. It's nice to see two representatives of the game actually treat each other with respect. A factor that didn't come in the early matchups for Coach Prime this year.

The Rose Bowl thefts are simply disgusting. It’s on par with somebody having their home robbed while they’re in the hospital. The audacity of the individuals to commit these crimes, I find difficult to even fathom. Do they honestly think they’ll get away with it?

Pasadena Police Chief, Gene Harris, told Buffs Beat late Monday night, “The investigation is in the early stages and is ongoing.”

While it’s been reported that there were no cameras in the locker room, security footage from tunnel area should provide the necessary details. All of this will take some time to sort through, and the culprit(s) will be brought to justice.

In the meantime, we shouldn’t gloss over how much of a positive coaching influence Kelly has been on Sanders, even in these troubling moments. Their relationship extends back to Shedeur’s recruitment out of high school. It’s very possible that if Deion elected not to coach in college, his youngest son could be playing for UCLA right now.

Saturday definitely didn’t go Colorado’s way. They lost on the field and lost some meaningful personal items on top of it. But, we know an arrest an inevitable. And the leaders of each team are going to make sure of it.

Even in a disappointing week, learning of the respect each coach has for one another has been an inspiring tidbit to uncover. This fact was no doubt punctuated in Prime’s postgame press conference.

“I adore their head coach. I have a tremendous amount of respect for him. He’s a great coach and I’m glad we finally got our contest over with so I can call him from time to time.”

Colorado returns home and will face 16th-ranked Oregon State on Saturday, Nov. 4. A late 10 p.m. ET start with television coverage on ESPN.
