Colorado and Deion Sanders recruit taken to hospital after injury in HS playoff game

It was a heartbreaking end to amazing high school career for Colorado commit Brandon Davis-Swain.

After scoring three touchdowns on offense and being a force on defense, the four-star checked out of the game with a right arm injury. He could only watch as Southfield A&T’s Isaiah Marshall scored a touchdown as time expired.

West Bloomfield’s playoff run ended in the state semifinals. Davis-Swain later posted on X.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to Colorado saying, “Thanks for all the prayers and calls. I’m all good. God got me. Not the way I wanted it to end….CU Buffs football, here I come.”

Davis-Swain earned all-state honors after recording 12 sacks and 33 quarterback hurries as a junior. He was ranked in ESPN's Top 300 and the No. 5 player in the state of Michigan. He's one of CU's top two recruits in next year's class, which is currently ranked 70th nationally, according to 247Sports.

Despite having offers from many Power Five programs, Davis-Swain felt at home with Coach Prime at Colorado. He'll be a nice addition and is the latest two-way player for the Buffs.
