Who's your Taddy? CU Buffs land big-time hoops commit

The Colorado Buffaloes pick up a commitment from four-star small forward Quincy Allen.

Tad Boyle and company picked up their second commit of the 2021 class on Friday.

Four-star Quincy Allen has committed to the Colorado Buffaloes.

Allen is one of the top players in the nation for the 2021 class.

He is ranked as the No. 48 recruit in the country on the 247Sports composite rankings which compiles the rankings from the three major recruiting sites.

Allen is ranked as the top player in the D.C. area on 247Sports and Rivals. He is also top 10 on both sites for the small forward rankings.

The 6-foot-7 forward reported offers from 16 schools including Georgetown, Louisville, Marquette, Syracuse, Clemson, Florida, Michigan and NC State.

Allen visited CU right before the lockdown on February 21 and it's the only official visit he took according to the 247Sports database.

He has been described as a do-it-all forward and has just about everything in his arsenal. He plays for the Maret School in the D.C. area and Team Takeover for AAU.

This is the highest-ranked recruit for Colorado in a very long time and jumps Colorado into the top ten on the 247Sports rankings. They now sit at No. 6 behind Michigan State in the composite rankings and No. 7 on the 247Sports rankings.

They already have a commitment from Lawson Lovering who is a four-star recruit and top 70 nationally.

The Buffs went into an area they don't often recruit and pulled one of the best players out of it. They are also heavily recruiting Angelo Brizzi who is from Virginia.
