Deion Sanders has filled a few openings on his coaching staff going into 2024 and looks to do the same with the Buffs roster. Coach Prime picked up a huge commitment on Thursday with the nation’s top offensive lineman, Jordan Seaton, announcing he was Boulder bound on FOX Sports' Undisputed.

Another player considering Colorado is 2025 four-star recruit Elijah Melendez. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker from Osceola HS (Florida) says the recent coaching changes aren't weighing on his decision at this time.

"I'm originally from colorado. So, no matter who the coaches are, (CU) is still gonna be very high for me," Melendez told BuffsBeat.

Melendez made an official visit to CU during the Oregon State weekend. He later revealed that Colorado was on his top ten list with Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama, and others. Coach Prime will try to use his influence via the Florida pipeline he established since coming to Boulder. Melendez would boost CU's 2025 recruiting class and put them back on the map after key pieces recently decommitted from the program.

Colorado currently ranks 54th nationally for 2024 and remains one of 18 schools with a five-star recruit. They also have the fewest number of recruit for a program without a head coaching change.
