Nick Williams leaving Colorado will have a ripple effect going into early Signing Day. One of the Buffs targets canceled his official visit after hearing his primary recruiter was no longer with the program.

Four-star edge rusher KingJoseph Edwards announced CU was in his final three and was set to make a decision in two weeks. However, it appears with Williams out that Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes are out of the running. Edwards other two schools are Florida State and Syracuse with the Orange likely being a new favorite.

"Coach Williams is leaving CU," Edwards noted to 247Sports. "He's my position coach and I didn't go on my OV this weekend. I'm waiting to hear back from Coach Prime."

The 6-foot-4, 230-pounder from Mills Creek (Georgia) is 335th player overall nationally and 35th-best prospect in the Peach State for the 2024 class. He would add depth to CU's recruiting class as the fourth four-star on the list, which currently sits at nine players. That might change considerably with Williams being the primary recruiter for five of those nine.

Sanders and the Buffs are at a crucial point in this recruiting cycle with the transfer portal opening tomorrow (Dec. 4) and early Signing Day right around the corner. This will be a test without their two best recruiter on staff and will be make-or-break going forward.
