Winston Watkins Jr. decommits from Deion Sanders and Colorado's 2025 recruiting class

In this story:
The Colorado Buffaloes received some bad news on Sunday with wide receiver Winston Watkins Jr. decommitting from the 2025 recruiting class.
Watkins, a noted five-star talent, was the first to firmly join Coach Prime's future recruiting class. The ESPN 300 and Rivals top 150 athlete has an NFL bloodline as Sammy Watkins' cousin. He was at Florida's famed IMG Academy before transferring to First Baptist Academy. The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder caught 38 passes for 804 yards and nine touchdowns for the FBA.
Watkins committed to Sanders the same day Prime stepped foot in Boulder. With him dropping from the program, the Buffs have quarterback Antwann Hill Jr. as the only class of 2025 recruit on the books. The blue chip passer is a top 100 recruit and one of the best NFL ready QBs in the upcoming classes. However, don't be surprised if Hill makes it to Boulder earlier than expected.
Colorado (4-6) took a heartbreaking 34-31 loss against No. 21 Arizona on Saturday's Senior Day at Folsom Field. They'll need to win out to make the postseason in Sanders' first year at CU. It would be an amazing accomplishment for a program with over 80 new players. The Buffs end the season at Washington State and Utah.
