On the court, Duke basketball sophomore forward Kyle Filipowski responded quite admirably to Saturday's well-publicized court-storming incident following the now-No. 10 Blue Devils' loss at unranked Wake Forest.

He did so by coming up just shy of a double-double in Wednesday night's 84-59 home win over unranked Louisville.

The 7-foot Filipowski, who grimaced with some degree of knee pain during Saturday's aftermath and triggered jokes from other fanbases by managing to play and start against the Cardinals anyway, finished with nine points, 10 rebounds, and six assists in his 29 minutes of action. He shot 4-for-8 from the field and 1-for-2 at the line.

Off the court, it's forgivable if the 20-year-old can't ignore all the ridicule he's received on social media this week.

Well, on Wednesday afternoon, he reacted by taking a shot at the Demon Deacons, dropping an "Ouch" in the comments of a March Madness Instagram post reporting their Tuesday night road loss to unranked Notre Dame:

Wake Forest became one of three teams this season to follow up a win over Duke with a loss in their next contest, joining Georgia Tech and now-No. 9 UNC. Arkansas and Pitt lost their second outing after defeating the Blue Devils.

So, one could say No. 6 Arizona is the only squad that handled its emotional high notably well after knocking off the widely loathed blueblood.

In other words, at least in conference play, the "Duke hangover" that teams seem to display may be just as debilitating as ever. And one could easily argue that Kyle Filipowski, the latest in a long line of frequently derided Dukies, deserves credit for that. Ouch.
