It took awhile, but four of Duke’s six recruits for 2020 signed National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, the first day of the fall signing period.

There were reports throughout the morning that three of the recruits were signed, sealed and delivered, but nothing official surfaced until much later in the day.

Jalen Johnson, a five-star small forward out of Bradenton, Florida’s IMG Academy was the first to make it official. Johnson is the No. 6 overall prospect, according to 247Sports. He’s also the No. 2 small forward. Johnson had a signing ceremony at his high school and made the official announcement on social media shortly after noon.

Then the long wait began. At 5:24 PM, D.J. Stewart of Chicago’s Whitney Young was the next domino to fall. Stewart, a five-star combination guard is the No. 26 prospect and No. 6 combo guard in the class.

At 6:00, Mark Williams posted photos from the signing ceremony at his high school. Williams is a seven-footer and four-star center out of IMG Academy in Bradenton. Williams is the No. 29 prospect and No. 7 center.

Ten minutes later, Henry Coleman posted his signing photos. Coleman is a four-star power forward out of Richmond, Virginia’s Trinity Episcopal. He’s the No. 40 prospect and No. 7 power forward in the class. Coleman's high school highlights are at the top of this post.

That left two recruits still to sign.

Jeremy Roach reportedly also had his NLI signed and submitted, but neither Duke nor Roach confirmed it. Several media outlets, including 247Sports, still have him as unsigned. Roach is a five-star point guard out of Fairfax, Virginia’s Paul VI Catholic. He’s the No. 20 prospect and No. 3 point guard in the class.

One photo from Roach's signing ceremony surfaced later in the day, but the NLI still hasn't been confirmed.

The sixth member of the class, Jaemyn Brakefield, is holding his signing ceremony on Friday afternoon at his high school. Brakefield is a four-star power forward out of Huntington, West Virginia’s Huntington Prep. He’s the No. 38 prospect and No. 6 power forward in the class.

Once all the letters of intent are filed, Duke will have the No. 1 recruitign class in the country.
