Duke staff continues visits during live period

The Duke coaching staff continued to visit prospects, traveling as a group for full-staff visits, instead of dividing up to cover more ground.

As we reported yesterday, the staff was in Chicago to visit 2020 prospect DJ Steward. There’s now video of the open gym action with Coach K and assistants in attendance.

Also as we told you yesterday, the staff visited 2020 big man Mark Williams, as well as teammate Jalen Johnson, who’s already committed to Duke for 2020.

Coach K was in on IMG Academy’s practice today. Him and the rest of the coaching staff were focusing on Jalen Johnson (Committed to Duke) and Mark Williams (100% to Duke on 247Sports Crystal Ball).

A new stop was uncovered on the staff’s Wednesday/Thursday itinerary. Duke was on hand to watch 2021 center Chet Holmgren.

The five-star is ranked No. 5 nationally and No. 1 among centers by 247 and Rivals. The seven footer averaged more than 18 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks last season and also showed he could hit from three.
