Jayson Tatum sat out Team USA’s third and final game in pool play—a 53-point win over Japan.
The U.S. advances to the elimination round with a 3-0 pool play record.
The blowout gave Mason Plumlee extended playing time. He recorded 16 minutes of action, hitting oen of three shots for two points to go with his five rebounds.
Plumlee didn’t play in the previous game, against Turkey. He had no points and three rebounds in five minutes in the win over Czech Repbulic.
