In this story:

Duke basketball royalty Grant Hill was in Cameron Indoor Stadium to see the unranked but surging Blue Devils (21-8, 12-6 ACC) tally an 81-65 revenge win over the Virginia Tech Hokies (16-13, 6-12 ACC) on Saturday night.

It was the team's fourth straight victory. Yes, Jon Scheyer's first bunch as a head coach, now 15-0 at home and sitting alone at No. 5 in the conference standings with only two regular-season games remaining, looks more and more primed for a potentially impressive March.

Hill, a retired NBA legend and two-time Blue Devil national champ (1991, 1992), sat behind the bench, across from the bulk of the Cameron Crazies next to his former neighbors: future Duke basketball player and Montverde Academy (Fla.) senior Sean Stewart and his family.

Stewart, a 6-foot-8, 230-pound physical five-star who ranks No. 13 on the 247Sports 2023 Composite and is the son of former NBA veteran Michael Stewart, signed his national letter of intent in November and has been committed to Duke since December 2021.

He recently explained to Rivals' Krysten Peek that Hill took him to his first Blue Devil game as a kid. During that interview, he even referred to the seven-time NBA All-Star as "the reason I'm going [to Duke]."

Sean Stewart is one of five 2023 Duke basketball signees. The other four are five-star point guard Caleb Foster, five-star combo guard Jared McCain, five-star small forward Mackenzie Mgbako, and five-star power forward TJ Power. All five rank among the top 20 on the 247Sports 2023 Composite.
