Saturday's 17-10 win over Troy at the Birmingham Bowl in Alabama marked the Duke football program's fifth consecutive postseason victory.

And it was the first since 2018 without the sideline guidance of former two-year Blue Devil head coach Mike Elko, who bolted to Texas A&M in the middle of the night roughly 36 hours following the team's home win over Pitt in the regular season finale.

Duke played with visible determination under energized interim head coach Trooper Taylor. With the program's new head coach, Manny Diaz, in attendance, the Blue Devils (8-5) helped ensure recent momentum in Durham stays intact by securing back-to-back eight-win seasons for the first time since 2014-15 under David Cutcliffe.

So, on Thursday, the Duke football social media team paid tribute to the statement performance by posting the following four-minute cinematic recap of the day's most memorable sights and sounds from the pregame to emotional postgame celebration:

On Wednesday, via the individual highlight package below, the Blue Devils' official account recognized the impressive work that sophomore cornerback Chandler Rivers put in on his way to becoming the Birmingham Bowl MVP:

Rivers finished the game with five tackles, including two for a loss, along with three pass breakups and one quarterback hurry.

While Diaz and his crew have the daunting task of constructing a formidable roster for his first season on the job, the bowl win should be a boost to those efforts.
