Tuesday was Duke football’s game-week media day, so there was plenty of news breaking.

Duke released its Week One depth chart, which had some intriguing entries, including linebacker Koby Quansah listed as a starter, despite breaking his thumb last week and undergoing surgery.

Right guard Rak Chambers spoke to the media. The Alabama native and childhood Auburn fan is psyched about getting to face ‘Bama. As for nerves, he claims he doesn’t “have very many nerves.”

Tre Hornbuckle, who was hilariously mis-named “Cornbuckle” in this story by local news station WRAL, spoke next. The defensive end is looking forward to chasing down Heisman candidate QB Tua Tagovailoa.

Then it was Coach Cut’s turn at the podium. First, he confirmed that Quansah has been practicing and is “day-to-day” for the game.

Then he talked about the big game, dropping some Coach Cut-icisms, including "You're looking for competitive fierceness … You don't play in this game and not get exposed if you're not a fierce competitor."

And

"When you're playing in this caliber of ballgame, your first effort is never enough."

Finally, he talked about ‘Bama’s Tagovailoa and WR Jerry Jeudy.

Later in the day, a bombshell dropped when four key Alabama players were suspended for all or part of the game.
