In huge news, Alabama coach Nick Saban confirmed in the SEC coaches teleconference that linebacker and leading tackler Dylan Moses suffered a severe knee injury in practice and needs surgery. He's obviously out for Duke and likely much longer.

For the gambling minded, the line on Duke-Bama is one of the biggest movers of the Week One games, but not in the direction Duke fans would want. It opened with the Tide favored by 30.5. That's up to 35 now.

NBC Sports picked the up-and-coming college basketball coaches under 40. Duke's Jon Scheyer is ninth. "Scheyer seems to be the next Blue Devil staffer in line to get a head coaching job," they write.
