Welcome to Duke: Morning roundup for 9/2/2019

The Blue Devils dropped their opener to Alabama, and Duke Maven was there with all the details.

Offensive lineman Rakavius Chambers met with the media afterward to talk about the play of the young linemen.

Georgia native Dylan Singleton also spoke, talking about the fumble he was credited with and leading the team in tackles.

Next was linebacker Shaka Heyward, who discussed his first career start and the contributions of injured linebacker Koby Quansah.

And quarterback Quentin Harris broke down the day, including positives the team can take from the loss.

Ten true freshmen saw action. We begin our weekly burnt shirt report to track the redshirt eligibility of the class.

It’s tough to imagine a key play in a blowout loss, but Duke was a fraction of an inch from taking a lead during the scoreless first quarter. We break down everything they did right and the one thing that blew up the potential big play with our Key Play Breakdown.

Five star 2021 shooting guard Terrence Clark put Duke in his final six schools, along with Kentucky, Boston College, UCLA, Texas Tech and Memphis.
