Columbus High School (Fla.) five-star juniors Cayden and Cameron Boozer may well go their separate ways for college. And there's no guarantee either of Duke basketball legend Carlos Boozer's twin sons will commit to the Blue Devils.

Judging by their comments to the media at the Holiday Hoopsgiving showcase in Atlanta on Friday night, it sounds like neither is close to deciding on a winner in his recruitment.

"I think I'm definitely going to take my time on it," Cayden Boozer, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound guard who ranks No. 17 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, said about his decision timeline. "It's a big decision, and I don't want to rush it."

As for Cameron Boozer, No. 2 overall in the class, the 6-foot-9, 235-pound forward said that he's eyeing the start of his senior year (so, late next summer) to pick a school.

The Boozer twins have been on official visits, all alongside each other, to Kentucky, Miami, Florida, and most recently Duke, the alma mater of both their father and mother. They attended the Blue Devils' home loss to Arizona during their stay in Durham.

"We just go on visits to the same schools because we have the same offers," Cayden Boozer explained. "If we go to the same school, that'll be awesome. But we have to look at it realistically and see if it's a fit for both of us. And if it's not, then we will go our separate paths.

"But obviously, it would be awesome to play with [Cameron] in college."

Should Duke basketball fans assume they'll both become Blue Devils?

"I'd say not to make that assumption," Cameron Boozer responded.

They are among nine prospects on head coach Jon Scheyer's wishlist. However, their offers from Duke came much earlier than the rest, as they've been official Blue Devil targets since May 2022.

Duke's other targets in the cycle are five-star center Khaman Maluach, five-star forward Caleb Wilson, five-star forward Koa Peat, five-star forward Nate Ament, five-star guard Jalen Haralson, five-star guard Brayden Burries, and five-star guard Meleek Thomas.
