A Whopping 14 Seminoles Listed On Senior Bowl Watch List

In this story:
Florida State is one of the most experienced teams in the country entering the 2023 season. The Seminoles have the bulk of their two-deep returning from a year ago and coupled that with one of the top NCAA Transfer Portal classes in the country. The depth on both sides of the ball has plenty of expectations brewing in Tallahassee.

It also means that FSU has a good chance of being well-represented in the 2024 NFL Draft after only having two players drafted over the past two years. There's a possibility that the Seminoles have double-digit players selected, something that was reflected in the release of the Senior Bowl Watch List on Wednesday.
Florida State had a whopping 14 players selected to the watch list which was one of the top marks in the country. The Seminoles held the most selections in the ACC and the state of Florida while tying for the seventh-best mark in the nation.
Quarterback Jordan Travis, running back Trey Benson, wide receiver Johnny Wilson, tight end Jaheim Bell, offensive tackle Robert Scott, defensive end Jared Verse, defensive tackle Fabien Lovett Sr., defensive tackle Braden Fiske, defensive tackle Dennis Briggs, linebacker Kalen DeLoach, linebacker Tatum Bethune, cornerback Fentrell Cypress II, cornerback Renardo Green, and safety Akeem Dent were the Seminoles to make the Senior Bowl Watch List.
Only Ole Miss (20), Tennessee (19), Michigan (18), Oregon (17), LSU (16), and South Carolina (16) had more selections than Florida State. Auburn (14), TCU (14), and USC (14) all tied with the Seminoles with 14 selections.
Defensive end Jermaine Johnson and safety Jammie Robinson have been the lone Seminoles to represent the program in Mobile over the past few years. Barring something unforeseen, that number will be jumping up quite a bit in this draft cycle.
The Reese's Senior Bowl is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 1 PM eastern at Hancock Whitney Stadium on the University of South Alabama's campus. The game produced over 100 total picks for the third straight year this past April, including 40 players selected on the first two days of the draft.
