Fans and Former Players React to Florida State's 41-3 Victory Over Syracuse

The Seminoles are officially bowl eligible as they remain undefeated through their first six games of the season.

The Seminoles are now 6-0 for the first time since 2015 after their dominant win over the Syracuse Orange. While the Seminoles were unable to finish in the red zone on multiple occasions, the FSU defense held quarterback Garrett Shrader and the rest of the Syracuse offense to a mere three points, while Jordan Travis was able to extend the streak of 30+ point games to 12 after scoring 41 points today.

With the majority of the 1993 national championship team in attendance, the sold-out crowd in Doak Campbell Stadium once again provided an atmosphere for the Seminoles to thrive.

The game was highlighted by Keon Coleman’s impressive performance, with 140 yards capped off with a 72-yard punt return. In the absence of Johnny Wilson, the connection was there between Travis and the rest of his receivers as he went 23 for 37 with 284 passing yards. Additionally, Tate Rodemaker was able to get in the game with two completions for 60 yards and a 44-yard touchdown pass to true freshman Hykeem Williams.

The running backs once again had an impressive day, with a total of 191 combined rushing yards, including a 50-yard rushing touchdown from Lawrance Toafili in the fourth quarter.

While mistakes were made in the game, it is a good feeling to once again be undefeated as the ‘Noles enter the second half of the season.
