Former FSU Football Star Jordan Travis Signs With Agency Ahead of NFL Draft

Travis is making moves ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft.

With Florida State's season over, many star players are making the next step in their careers as they declare their intentions to enter the 2024 NFL Draft in April. One fan-favorite in particular has made a major move in his career just after the new year.

Earlier this week, record-setting quarterback Jordan Travis, who missed the season's final three games after suffering a leg injury against North Alabama, signed Deiric Jackson to represent him in the 2024 draft.

Jackson is the owner and CEO of Legacy Sports Advisors. His agency currently represents 17 NFL players, including two former Seminoles in New York Jets running back Jacques Patrick and former Bengals wide receiver Auden Tate. Additionally, Jackson represented last year's No. 4 overall pick and former Florida Gator, Anthony Richardson, in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The move follows the announcement of Travis' accepted invitation to the East-West Shrine Bowl where he will make his highly anticipated return following his season-ending injury. It's unknown how much he'll be able to participate but the experience around scouts will still be useful ahead of the NFL Combine.

Despite this year's class consisting of some of the best quarterbacks in the nation, Travis was the fifth-highest-ranked signal-caller on ESPN's top 100, sitting at 12th overall.

In the 11 games he played during the 2023 season, Travis completed 63.9% of his passes with 2,756 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. On the ground, he ran for 176 yards on 73 carries and had an additional seven touchdowns.

Travis holds the Florida State records for total offense, total touchdowns, QB rushing yards, and QB rushing touchdowns. He's second in passing yards, passing touchdowns, and wins as a starter. Travis also was named the ACC Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year while finishing fifth for the Heisman Trophy in 2023.

The 2024 NFL Draft will begin on April 25th and conclude on April 27th. Despite the brutal injury suffered earlier in the Season, Travis' dynamic skillset and playmaking abilities both in the air and on the ground make him a viable option to be selected.
