Four More FSU Football Players Agree To Deals With The Battle's End To Return

The retention movement continues in Tallahassee.

Florida State's success on the recruiting trail and in the transfer portal really began to pick up last year when The Battle's End Collective joined the NIL market. The collective has also been useful in helping the Seminoles retain talent across their roster. That campaign has been in full swing since the new year as a number of players will be returning to Tallahassee in 2024.

The news continued on Tuesday as four younger members of the roster announced that they'll be back in garnet and gold through deals with The Battle's End. Redshirt sophomore linebacker Omar Graham Jr., sophomore cornerback Quindarrius Jones, redshirt freshman defensive tackle KJ Sampson, and redshirt freshman cornerback Ja'Bril Rawls all have joined forces with the collective.

Graham Jr. just wrapped up his second season with the program and is currently the most experienced linebacker on the roster. He appeared in all 14 games and made his first career start in the Orange Bowl, recording 23 tackles, two tackles for loss, and a quarterback hurry. Graham Jr. totaled a career-high four tackles in Florida State's win over Pittsburgh.

Jones appeared in eight games during his first year with the Seminoles, making an impact in the rotation behind Renardo Green, Jarrian Jones, Azareye'h Thomas, and Fentrell Cypress II. He totaled six tackles and one tackle for loss while returning a blocked kick for a touchdown. Jones has a chance to be a name that fans hear called on FSU's defense for years to come.

Sampson enters his second year at Florida State with an opportunity to compete for a spot in the defensive tackle rotation alongside Dennis Briggs, Darrell Jackson, Joshua Farmer, Grady Kelly, and Daniel Lyons. He made five appearances during his true freshman season, recording five tackles in limited snaps while contributing to the scout team.

Rawls is another young defender who could be a big part of Florida State's future on defense. He appeared in three games during his first season with the program, earning 32 snaps in the Orange Bowl against Georgia. Rawls did not record any statistics but has a chance to continue to develop over the offseason and into the spring.

Outside of Graham Jr., Sampson, Jones and Rawls, running back Lawrance Toafili, running back Caziah Holmes, wide receiver Darion Williamson, wide receiver Kentron Poitier, wide receiver Destyn Hill, offensive lineman Robert Scott, offensive lineman Darius Washington, offensive lineman Maurice Smith, offensive lineman Keiondre Jones, offensive lineman Jeremiah Byers, defensive end Patrick Payton, defensive end Byron Turner Jr, cornerback Azareye'h Thomas, safety Shyheim Brown, punter Alex Mastromanno, and kicker Ryan Fitzgerald have all announced they'll return to Florida State since December.
