One of Florida State's top remaining uncommitted prospects is gearing up to announce a decision on Saturday evening. After an exciting recruiting process, five-star defensive back KJ Bolden, the No. 1 safety in the country, will choose between five programs; FSU, Georgia, Auburn, Ohio State, and Alabama.

The Seminoles were the first school to offer Bolden a scholarship in July of 2020 and have made him an increased priority throughout the year. Florida State has been trending in this recruitment over the past month and it should help that the coaching staff has filled out the class with elite talent in recent weeks.

Georgia and Ohio State have been longstanding contenders for Bolden while Auburn is making a late push after hosting him for an unofficial visit last week. Bolden officially visited the Bulldogs, Buckeyes, Clemson, and Alabama in June. FSU has the dream school factor playing in its favor and will bring him in for an official visit during the season.

"Ya'll know Florida State's my dream school for me. Even though they started recruiting me later on down the road, it's still like the love I've got for this school didn't go away," Bolden said to NoleGameday previously. "I've definitely got to come down here again, check it out. I'm probably going to be back for an official during the season for one of the games. Might come back for that Miami game or something like that but yeah definitely just love it down here for sure."

Throughout the process, Bolden has developed a good relationship with head coach Mike Norvell. His potential commitment would continue to surge #Tribe24 among the top recruiting classes in the country.

"It was definitely great being around him. He was just telling me 'why not be different?' They're building a special class with Kam and Landen and the quarterback, Luke," Bolden said. "So he's like why not be a part of this class and have Florida State be back to where it used to be. The last two years they've definitely been getting better and he feels like this year they're going to do great."

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound defensive back is regarded as the No. 7 overall prospect, the No. 1 S, and the No. 2 recruit in the state of Georgia in the 2024 class according to 247Sports.

As a junior, Bolden played on both sides of the ball and helped guide Buford High School to an 11-1 record and a playoff berth. He totaled 43 tackles on defense while catching 23 passes for 422 yards and two touchdowns on offense. Bolden also participates in track and field. He opened up the year with an 11.13-second 100-meter dash.
