Report: New Orleans Saints Considering Ex-FSU Football Star Wideout in NFL Draft

The New Orleans Saints could continue their legacy of adding former Florida State stars to their roster with the addition of wide receiver Keon Coleman in April. The star playmaker is considered as one of the top prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft after a monstrous season in Tallahassee.
A report by Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football suggests that the 6'3'', 214-pound wideout could be making a home trip to the state of Louisiana when his name gets called in a few weeks. Coleman will be one of the few prospects that the Saints will be bringing in for a top-30 visit.
Coleman led the Seminoles in receiving yards and touchdowns last season with 50 receptions, 658 yards, and 11 scores. The Opelousas, LA native shined from the start of his career in garnet and gold as a big-bodied and aggressive receiver to compliment teammates Johnny Wilson and Jordan Travis who will also be making a run at the NFL Draft.
The Saints aim to bolster their receiving corps, having entered the offseason with just Rashid Shaheed, Chris Olave, and A.T. Perry under contract. They made strides in free agency by adding Cedrick Wilson and Stanley Morgan, Jr. However, they remain on the lookout for further depth and competition. Among the prospects catching attention is Coleman, a former Seminole who showcased his talent at the NFL Combine. Despite not posting the fastest 40-time at 4.61, NFL scouts are still betting on his potential impact at the professional level.

Coleman was a top-ranked transfer out of Michigan State who spent one year at FSU before deciding to head to the NFL. During his three years at the college level, he had 1,506 yards and 19 touchdowns while excelling on special teams, adding another 300 yards in the return game. He earned First-Team All-American honors and was named First-Team All-ACC as a receiver, all-purpose player, and return specialist. He was the first player in FSU history to earn all-conference honors in three separate categories during one season.
