Many former Florida State Seminoles found new homes with the 2023 NFL Draft in the taillights. Safety Jammie Robinson was the lone 'Nole selected in the draft. He went in the fifth round to the Carolina Panthers, but numerous other players from the 2022 roster have either signed free-agent deals or are getting interest from NFL teams looking to bolster their roster.

Wide receiver Ontaria Wilson has signed with the Los Angeles Chargers, while defensive tackle Robert Cooper signed with the Seattle Seahawks. Tight end Camren McDonald has signed with the Green Bay Packers, tight end Wyatt Rector is set to work out with the Las Vegas Raiders, and now offensive lineman Dillan Gibbons will be participating in the Indianapolis Colts rookie mini-camp.

Gibbons is coming off his second year with the 'Noles after transferring in from Notre Dame in 2021. He started all 13 games and was named first-team All-ACC in 2022. While in Tallahassee, he received the Wuerfell Trophy and the Jim Tatum Award and was named the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team captain. He blocked for an offense that led the country with an average of 7.46 plays of at least 20 yards per game and tied for the national lead with eight touchdown drives of at least 90 yards. Gibbons helped the Seminoles lead the ACC in third-down offense, yards gained per pass, yards gained per play, yards gained per rush, total offense per game, yards per completion, rushing offense per game, and scoring offense per game.

The Florida native was also a major community outreach advocate, starting the Big Man Big Heart Foundation, a Florida non-profit organization that encourages NCAA athletes to use their name, image, and likeness for charitable initiatives.

Gibbons has some ties to the Indianapolis Colts, including offensive line assistant Chris Watt and former teammates Quenton Nelson and Khali Kareem.
