Blue-Chip Offensive Tackle Includes FSU Football In Top Schools List

The Seminoles were the first program to offer the trending prospect nearly two years ago.

Recruiting is ramping up around the country with the arrival of spring. Rising seniors in the 2025 class are picking up new offers, narrowing down their top schools' lists, scheduling official visits, and planning commitment dates.

Florida State will be hitting the high school ranks hard to add talent upfront with at least six scholarship offensive linemen entering their final year with the program. One of the top options for the Seminoles is four-star offensive tackle Ziyare Addison.

Addison has been trending up as of late, growing from an unranked recruit to a blue-chip prospect in less than a year. Many of the top programs in the nation have already extended him a scholarship.

Earlier this week, Addison announced he was cutting down his recruitment to 12 schools. He plans to focus on Florida State, Florida, Miami, Georgia, Oregon, Colorado, Penn State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, UCLA, Nebraska, and Stanford moving forward.

The Florida native started at left tackle for a Sumner High School team that qualified for the postseason last year. He also played on defense and rushed for a score. Addison runs track and wrestles at the prep level as well.

Since picking up an offer from Florida State in the summer of 2022, Addison has been building a relationship with head coach Mike Norvell and offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins.

"It's been great. It's been growing," Addison said to NoleGameday previously. "I feel like I'm getting closer to the coaches every time I come here. I love the culture here, what they're building here. I really, really love the culture, it's family-oriented, it's really what I'm looking for in a program."

Addison has visited Tallahassee at least seven times over the last two years, including to watch the Seminoles take down Miami in November. He's seen the Seminoles more than any other program that is involved with him and that could make a difference in the end.

"They're always going to have a special place in my heart because they're really the first ones to open up my recruiting process," Addison said.

The 6-foot-4.5, 280-pound offensive tackle is regarded as the No. 132 overall prospect, the No. 14 OT, and the No. 16 recruit in the 2025 class according to 247Sports.
