There probably wasn't another recruit that was in Tallahassee as often as five-star tight end Landen Thomas during the course of June. After flipping to Florida State at the conclusion of the spring, Thomas was on campus three times over the past few weeks.

That included a trip for his official visit alongside a plethora of other prospects for what ended up being the largest recruiting weekend of the Mike Norvell era with the Seminoles.

"I'm feeling good," Thomas said to NoleGameday's Dustin Lewis. "Getting to hang out with the players and stuff like that. Building tight relationships with the players and staff so it's been a good weekend."

Thomas spent a lot of his time around coach Norvell and tight ends coach Chris Thomsen. Both coaches have shown him time and time again that they really want him at Florida State.

"I've got a good relationship with both of them. They're both great guys," Thomas said. "They always kept in contact with me even when I decommitted and the love that they have for you, they show that they really want me."

Norvell had a simple message for Thomas during their talks on the official visit.

"He appreciates me and appreciates the opportunity that I'm giving him so he can coach me and we're going to build a relationship," Thomas said.

The Georgia native has developed a solid relationship with fellow commit and four-star quarterback, Luke Kromenhoek. The two recruits have been in constant communication since he committed.

"It's been a good relationship, been building with Luke since I committed," Thomas said. "We be talking like every other day or something like that so we're building a good relationship."

Now a member of #Tribe24 for the second time, Thomas put his recruiting hat on throughout the weekend. He spoke with four-star wide receiver Elijah Moore and had a message for four-star tight end Kylan Fox.

"We could be a duo," Thomas said. "Ain't nobody going to be able to stop us."

Thomas was hosted by a player who is about to begin his career at Florida State after being one of the highest-rated prospects in the country out of high school. That's none other than true freshman wide receiver Hykeem Williams.

That you're going to work, for sure," Thomas said on his thoughts from hanging with Williams. "Some days you're going to be tired but you've got to do it."

What stood out the most during his official visit to Florida State?

"The fans around the city," Thomas said. "They recognize me, I didn't really think they would know who I am, for real, but they did."

Moving forward, Thomas has plans to return to Florida State in late July. He's getting close to shutting down his recruitment.

"I ain't close down unofficially but might as well just say yeah," Thomas claimed.

The 6-foot-4, 235-pound tight end is regarded as the No. 24 overall prospect, the No. 1 TE, and the No. 5 recruit in the state of Georgia in the 2024 class according to 247Sports.
