There may be a dead period in place that prevents Florida State from seeing prospects face-to-face throughout February. There are a couple of intriguing names to know that could grow into targets during the life of the recruiting cycle.

— Justin Greene, 2024 four-star DE, Mountain View High School (GA)

FSU offered one of the top prospects in the 2024 class on Thursday morning in four-star defensive end Justin Greene. According to his social media, defensive ends coach John Papuchis personally called Greene to extend the scholarship. The Georgia native was at Auburn last weekend for a Junior Day and has seen his recruitment build since the new year.

Outside of the Seminoles, Georgia, USC, Florida, Duke, Liberty, Arkansas State, Alabama State, and Jackson State all offered back in January. Greene will likely slot in as a defensive end at the college level with his 6-foot-4, 225-pound frame.

— Michael Uini, 2024 four-star OT, Copperas Cove High School (TX)

Uini is considered one of the top offensive linemen in his class and Florida State became his 33rd FBS offer on Thursday afternoon. The Seminoles haven't gotten him on campus yet but it's clear that the staff is trying to get their hat into the ring. Uini mentioned head coach Mike Norvell, offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins, and tight ends coach Chris Thomsen when posting the offer.

The Seminoles join a stacked list that includes Georgia, LSU, Oregon, Penn State, Texas, USC, Texas A&M, Auburn, Florida, Michigan, and plenty of others.

— Jaylen Harvey, 2024 four-star DE, Quince Orchard High School (MD)

The Seminoles became the latest offer for Harvey on Thursday afternoon. Florida State joins a group of suitors that include Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Maryland, among others. He referred to defensive ends coach John Papuchis when posting the offer. Papuchis has ties to the Maryland area after coaching for the Terrapins in 2019.

Harvey is considered a top-250 prospect in his class. He stands at 6-foot-2, 235-pounds. Harvey visited Penn State twice during the fall.

— Makai Saina, 2024 three-star OL, Martin High School (TX)

The Seminoles joined three-star offensive lineman Makai Saina's recruitment on Wednesday afternoon. Tight ends coach Chris Thomsen sent out the offer as he recruits the Lone Star state for FSU. Saina already has good size at 6-foot-4, 275-pounds and he flashes the type of versatility and physicality you want to see in a high school offensive lineman.

The Texas native is constantly putting defenders on their backsides on his highlight type while playing on both sides of the offensive line. Programs such as LSU, Miami, Texas A&M, Auburn, USC, Penn State, and TCU have already offered. Saina visited Texas A&M for a Junior Day last month.

— Landen Marshall, 2024 three-star DL, Andalusia High School (AL)

The offer from Florida State to three-star defensive lineman Landen Marshall went out on Wednesday evening. Marshall mentioned senior offensive analyst Austin Tucker when announcing the news, who has ties to the Alabama area. Head coach Mike Norvell also recently dropped by high school while on a helicopter recruiting tour at the end of January.

Standing at 6-foot-3, 285-pounds, Marshall will likely play inside at the college level. He also holds offers from Miami, Florida, Liberty, Troy, and others.

— Tristan Jernigan, 2024 LB, Tupelo High School (MS)

Florida State offered Jernigan on Thursday afternoon. According to his social media, senior offensive analyst Gabe Fertitta extended Jernigan the opportunity following a conversation. His recruitment has been building over the last couple of months as the Mississippi native has picked up offers from FSU, Ole Miss, Memphis, Arkansas State, Georgia State, Southern Miss, Austin Peay, and Southeast Missouri State since November.

It's not just his last name that stands out. Jernigan stands at 6-foot-2, 220-pounds and recorded 96 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and 8.5 sacks as a junior.

— Amir Jackson, 2024 ATH, Portal High School (GA)

Jackson picked up an offer from Florida State on Thursday afternoon. At the time, he referred to head coach Mike Norvell, tight ends coach Chris Thomsen, special teams analyst Carter Barfield, and Director of Player Personnel, Chuck Cantor. It's assumed that the Seminoles are recruiting him as a tight end with Jackson standing at 6-foot-6, 218-pounds.

The Georgia native plays in a smaller classification and looks absolutely dominant on film. Jackson played both ways as a junior while spending time as a punt returner and kick returner. Florida, Virginia Tech, Kentucky, and UAB were among the programs to offer him in January.

— Artavius Jones, 2024 ATH, Blountstown High School (FL)

Jones is a growing name to know who isn't far down the road from Tallahassee. Florida State offered him on Thursday afternoon with Jones mentioning head coach Mike Norvell, defensive coordinator Adam Fuller, and defensive line coach Odell Haggins. It's believed that the Seminoles are recruiting him as a defensive tackle with Jones standing at 6-foot-4, 285-pounds.

The Florida native is a teammate of FSU commit and four-star safety, Jordan Pride. Jones played both ways as a junior, scoring four touchdowns on offense while recording 71 tackles and a pick on defense. The Seminoles are his biggest offer to date with Jones previously picking up scholarships from Maryland, USF, UCF, Florida Atlantic, Troy, East Carolina, and Jackson State. The coaching staff recently saw him in person at a Junior Day on January 21.

— Jameer Grimsley, 2024 ATH, Tampa Catholic High School (FL)

Grimsley is a long athlete that has the potential to play on either side of the ball at the college level. Florida State offered him on Wednesday evening and it appears that the coaching staff likes him on defense. At the time of the news, Grimsley mentioned defensive coordinator Adam Fuller and defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. He's got solid ball skills as a prospect that plays wide receiver and in the secondary for Tampa Catholic.

The Florida native is generating some interest this year. Penn State, UCF, Rutgers, Liberty, Duke, and USF all recently offered.

— Gracen Harris, 2025 WR, Ennis High School (TX)

The coaching staff is keeping an eye on the future as Florida State also offered 2025 wide receiver Gracen Harris on Thursday morning. Harris has already earned offers from Oklahoma, TCU, West Virginia, Mississippi State, Texas Tech, and others. He's a standout in the Lone Star State.

Harris recorded 87 catches for 1,374 yards with 10 touchdowns. He was named a Texas District 5-5A-II first-team selection as a sophomore.

— Maxwell Riley, 2026 OT, Avon Lake High School (OH)
