The Seminoles have generated plenty of momentum on the recruiting trail after knocking off LSU and Clemson in September. Sitting as the No. 5 team in the country, Florida State has a chance to make a lot more noise throughout the final two-thirds of the regular season.

FSU already has 21 prospects committed in its 2024 class which ranks No. 6 in the country according to 247Sports. There are a limited number of available spots remaining in #Tribe24 as the coaching staff is pursuing some of the top prospects in the country to fill out the class.

On Sunday, four-star wide receiver Ny Carr announced on social media that he was backing off his longtime commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs. Carr originally pledged to the Bulldogs in July of 2022 but he's continued to visit other schools as of late.

That list of trips includes two unofficial visits to Tallahassee this year. Carr was on campus to check out Florida State three days after being offered a scholarship in late January.

"I loved it," Carr said to NoleGameday at the time. "They show you a lot of love here. Coming from where I am from, that is good, to get the love."

Carr returned to town earlier this month to attend the Seminoles' home opener against Southern Miss. He was in the stands alongside his Colquitt County High School teammate and five-star FSU commit, Landen Thomas. The two have proven to be a reliable and explosive duo for the Packers. Could that continue into the college level?

Florida State's success over the past year has caught his attention. That also expands to the development of the wide receivers and how position coach Ron Dugans has filled out his room.

"They played great. I talked to Coach Dugans, I told him I liked the way that he recruits his players," Carr said previously. "He gets different types of personalities out of all his players and they are different types of players, so that is what I like being around, like different people, different in their own ways, go out there and be playmakers, be ballers. I enjoyed that."

"It makes a big difference," Carr added. "When you put in the work, you grind, it shows. That is what I want to be a part of. I want to be a part of a team that grinds and gets better with each other and wins."

It wouldn't be a surprise to see Carr back on campus in the near future. The Seminoles are clearly look to add another wide receiver to the fold despite already having four blue-chip pass-catchers committed; four-star Camdon Frier, four-star BJ Gibson, four-star Elijah Moore, and four-star Lawayane McCoy.

Florida State remains in pursuit of five-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, who is committed to Ohio State, as well as some other prospects at the position.

Carr stands at 6-foot, 170-pounds and is regarded as the No. 53 overall prospect, the No. 11 WR, and the No. 9 recruit in the state of Georgia in the 2024 class according to 247Sports. He's caught 30 passes for 489 yards and nine touchdowns through the first four games of his senior season.
