Three-Star In-State Offensive Lineman Sets Commitment Date After FSU Got His Last Visit

Florida State's 2024 recruiting class has continued to take form throughout the month of July, with prospects like four-star EDGE DD Holmes, four-star wide receiver Elijah Moore and four-star defensive back Ricky Knight III all announcing their commitments to the Seminoles.

The 'Noles currently hold the 15th-ranked recruiting class in the country, according to 247Sports, which consists of 15 commitments, and are looking to add more playmakers to the fold.

Three-star offensive lineman Tye Hylton, who recently took an official visit to the Seminoles on June 23-25, announced his commitment date on Tuesday afternoon on social media. He plans to decide which school he will be bringing his talents to on the 14th.

Hylton began his junior year as the starting left tackle for the Oviedo Lions. He helped achieve a 10-2 season, which led to a district title and a berth in the second round of Florida's 3M playoffs.

Holding offers from numerous power-5 programs, schools like the Miami Hurricanes and the Florida Gators are heavily in the mix, but the fact that FSU got Hylton on campus last will help in their pursuit. He officially visited the Gators on June 16 and the Hurricanes on June 9.

During his trip to Tallahassee, the close connections between the coaching staff and players caught his attention.

"It's really like the brotherhood. Everybody here is tight, close," Hylton said to NoleGameday previously. "I really like that, me personally, because of my development and stuff like that. The older guys helping out."

A couple of other targets who were recently on campus are scheduled to commit the following day - Saturday, July 15. That list of prospects includes four-star running back Micahi Danzy, four-star offensive lineman Jonathan Daniels, three-star defensive back Kevin Levy, and three-star safety Ashton Hampton.

The 6-foot-4, 270-pound offensive lineman is regarded as the No. 954 overall prospect, the No. 72 OT, and the No. 130 recruit in the state of Florida in the 2024 class according to 247Sports.
