Knight III is set to announce his decision on Saturday afternoon after officially visiting Florida State, Miami, and Illinois in June. The main contenders are believed to be the Seminoles and Hurricanes as the two rivals grapple to keep Knight III in the state.
The Seminoles have been involved with Knight III since early in the year. FSU was the first school to extend him a scholarship offer which is something that has been on his mind ever since.
"Honestly, I still keep that in the back of my head," Knight said to NoleGameday previously. "They were the first school to ever give me an opportunity and I'll always be grateful for that and thankful for that."
FSU has yet to add a cornerback to #Tribe24 but the program does have three-star safety CJ Heard in the fold. The class holds 12 verbal commitments and is ranked No. 18 in the country.
Knight III would be defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr.'s first commitment since he was hired by Florida State in January.
The 6-foot, 168-pound cornerback is regarded as the No. 402 overall prospect, the No. 30 ATH, and the No. 57 recruit in the state of Florida in the 2024 class according to 247Sports. As a junior, he recorded 33 tackles and one interception.
