All-American Honors Roll In for Standout Georgia Freshman

The postseason honors keep rolling in for the Georgia Bulldogs; this time, the freshmen are being recognized.

Georgia's 2023 season was another memorable, record-breaking season that included many positives going into 2024. After their season ended, they had plenty of All-American honors come in for some of their top players.

Today, some of the Bulldogs' standout freshmen from the 2023 season get an opportunity to be honored for their performances, with the Football Writers Association of America announcing their Freshman All-American teams, including three of Georgia's players.

Thirty-two freshmen were selected for this list, including three Dawgs, tied for the list's lead with Clemson. Offensive tackle Earnest Greene III, placekicker Peyton Woodring, and linebacker CJ Allen represented the Bulldogs on this list, making it the first time since 2018 that they had three players be dubbed this honor.

This year also makes it eight straight seasons that Georgia has had at least one player named to the Freshman All-American list, which is the best in all of college football.

Also included on this list are the SEC Freshman of the Year, Alabama safety Caleb Downs, PAC-12 Offensive Freshman of the Year, Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita, and BIG 10 Freshman of the Year, Purdue safety Dillon Thieneman.

Kirby Smart and Georgia have brought in another loaded recruiting class, which is bound to make waves when they return to the field for spring practice and then again in August, leading up to their season opener against Clemson in Atlanta.
