Final Score Predictions for Georgia Football vs Florida State

Georgia and Florida State are set to square off in the Orange Bowl on Saturday. The Dawgs Daily staff is here with their final score predictions for the game

Georgia's loss to Alabama in the SEC Championship and subsequent exclusion from the 2023 College Football Playoff dashed its hopes of winning an unprecedented third-consecutive CFP national championship, however the  No. 6 Bulldogs have an opportunity to send the 2023 team off on a positive note and build momentum heading into the 2024 offseason when they face undefeated ACC Champion Florida State in the Orange Bowl on Saturday. While Georgia - which was ranked No. 1 in the AP Poll for the entirety of the 2023 regular season as it put together its third-straight undefeated regular season - felt the sting of being left out of the Playoff, its heartbreak pales in comparison to that suffered by a 13-0 Florida State team that ignominiously became the only undefeated Power 5 Conference Champion to ever be left out of the College Football Playoff in its 10-year history. With Florida State's roster ravaged by opt-outs, Georgia enters the game as a 19-point favorite over the Seminoles.

The game will kickoff at 4:00 PM ET on ESPN. The game will be called by the broadcast team of Joe Tessitore and Jesse Palmer with Katie George on the sidelines.

The Dawgs Daily staff is here with our final predictions for the top-10 bowl matchup between the Bulldogs and the Seminoles

Brooks Austin - Georgia 38 - Florida State 3

Brock Glenn may have started in the ACC Championship Game, and Florida State may be undefeated, but this is not the Florida State team that won the ACC. This is a shell of that football team. Both top receivers out, backup QB out, top three running backs out, two of three top tight ends out, and nearly double-digit defensive opt-outs as well. Barring some type of turnover in Georgia's own end or a special teams mishap, I just don't foresee Florida State being able to move the ball past the fifty-yard line, let alone score a touchdown.

Tyler Graves: Georgia 37 - Florida State 13

Both teams enter this game smarting from their exclusion from the College Football Playoff, but Georgia's roster will enter the Orange Bowl far more in tact than Florida State's. Opt-outs have become the rule in the non-CFP bowls, but the attrition suffered by Florida State in the aftermath of being left out of the CFP has reached nearly unprecedented levels with upwards near 10 starters electing to not play in the Orange Bowl. Georgia won't be at full-strength, either, but with key players such as QB Carson Beck, CB Kamari Lassiter, and WR Ladd McConkey all geared up to play, it is difficult to imagine a scenario where Florida State can keep pace with the Bulldogs. Georgia holds both the talent and motivational edges in this game and will cruise to a runaway victory over Florida State.

Christian Kirby II: Georgia 31 - Florida State 10

Scoring points against a Georgia defense isn’t easy. But it’s even harder when you’re on your third-string quarterback, all of your best receivers aren’t playing, and they have far less opt outs. I can really see a world where Florida State scores more than 20 points and with offensive weapons like Ladd McConkey and Carson Beck opting in for the Dawgs, this Orange Bowl has blowout written all over it.
