Georgia Bulldogs Send Message to College Football Playoff Committee in Orange Bowl

After being left out of the 2023 College Football Playoff, the Georgia Bulldogs sent a huge message to the college football world.

After a heartbreaking loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Georgia Bulldogs were controversially left out of the College Football Playoff and placed at the No.6 spot in the country.

The Bulldogs were scheduled to face the undefeated Florida State Seminoles in the Orange Bowl. With their national title hopes and the chance of a historic three-peat gone, many began to expect a mass exodus of opt-outs and transfers from the Georgia roster.

While there were plenty of roster exits, numerous Bulldog starters decided that they would play in the Orange Bowl game. Starters such as Ladd McConkey, Kamari Lassiter, Javon Bullard, and others stated that they wanted to finish the season the right way. And finishing the right way they did...

The Bulldogs dominated the Seminoles from the word go, resulting in a massive 60-point victory paired with 673 total yards of offense. The massive beatdown broke the record for the largest bowl game margin of victory in the history of college football. Breaking last year's record which was also set by Georgia in the national title game.

With the Bulldogs' controversial exclusion from this year's College Football Playoff, players and coaches had an opportunity to lie down and not take the Orange Bowl game seriously. However, rather than that, the Bulldogs came out and looked much like the No.1 team that they had been ranked as all season. Sending a message to the rest of the college football world that they belonged in this year's playoff discussion.
