Georgia DB Enters the Transfer Portal on Christmas
Freshman corner Daniel Harris has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal. He posted the following message on social media this afternoon.
FIRST AND FOREMOST I WANT TO GIVE THANKS TO GOD FOR BLESSING ME DAY IN AND DAY OUT WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY THE GAME I LOVE. NONE OF THIS WOULD BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT HIM! WOULD LIKE TO THANK COACH SMART AND THE REST OF THE COACHING STAFF FOR GIVING ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA AS WELL AS MY TEAMMATES THAT HAVE HELPED ALONG THE WAY. WITH THAT BEING SAID, AFTER A MUCH THOUGHT I HAVE DECIDED TO ENTER THE TRANSFER PORTAL WITH 3 YEARS LEFT OF ELIGIBILITY.
Harris was prioritized in the 2023 signing class by then-defensive backs coach Fran Brown. Brown has already taken multiple Bulldogs out of the Transfer Portal since becoming the head coach of the Syracuse Orangemen, and likely will be one of Harris's first phone calls, you'd imagine.
