Potential NFL Draft Landing Spots for Georgia Players

The Georgia Bulldogs have a load of players who could be drafted in the 2024 NFL Draft. Let's discuss which team may draft this talented group.

Georgia has seen themselves breaking records the past two years in the NFL Draft and could continue to do so in this year's draft. The Bulldogs have 12 players who have currently declared for the NFL Draft, so let's take a look at some of the potential landing spots for these players.

Brock Bowers: No. 5 Los Angeles Chargers

First, Brock Bowers will land somewhere in the first round and come immediately make an impact for any team that drafts him. But, imagine him with the Los Angeles Chargers. If they find the right hire for a head coach, Justin Herbert, Austin Ekeler, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, the NFL's highest paid defense with stars everywhere, and then you add on Brock Bowers to that mix, the Chargers become an immediate Super Bowl contender. If not the Chargers, it could also be the Bears, Raiders, Broncos, Packers, or the Bengals.

Kamari Lassiter: Buffalo Bills

Kamari Lassiter is one of this draft's top cornerback prospects. There are a good bit of teams that could use a corner in this years draft, such as the Buffalo Bills. The Bills have Tre'Davious White who is a very solid player, but has been a bit injury prone the last few seasons, and the Bills need to find an answer for his counterpart or eventual replacement, and I believe Lassiter would be a solid selection. If not the Bills, the Lions could also be a solid ft, the Colt and Raiders could suite him as well.

Amarius Mims: Green Bay Packers

Geen Bay managed to make it to the playoffs without Aaron Rodgers, and had a solid season with Jordan Love controlling the offense. But, if they want to continue to build around Jordan Love, they need to protect him. Amarius Mims is a solid selection to keep Love protected, and the Packers winning seasons alive. He would lso be a huge help in the run game with both Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon in the backfield as some of the Packers' top weapons.

Sedrick Van Pran:  Piitsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh has slowly been building their team around players from Athens. George Pickens, Broderick Jones, and Darnell Washington. Mike Tomlin needs to rebuild his offense to match the production of his defense, and Sedrick Van Pran would be a solid selection. If not the Steelets, I could also see SVP landing with either the Jaguars or the Cowboys.

Ladd McConkey: New England Patriots / Houston Texans

With Bill Belichick no longer the head coach in New England, the running joke with his love of white recievers Mary tail him to his next position, and in sure Ladd McConkey has caught his eye by now. But, Ladd McConkey isn't your "basic white reciever," and the New England Patriots need a serious recieving threat to pair with what will likely be a quarterback taken with the third overall pick. One team that could be a great fit for McConkey is the Houston Texans. They took chances in last years draft taking recieving threats to help their new franchise QB, CJ Stroud, and their bet on Tank Dell paid off. The reason McConkey could fit in Houston is to add exceptional depth at that position first, but with John Metchie not seeming to pan out just yet due to injury, and Dell going out late with injury, why not draft McConkey who could become an immediate threat with his route running and deep threat capabilities. If there was a comparison for his play, Tyler Lockett could be a solid comp.

Javon Bullard: Green Bay Packers

One of the country's well-rounded defenders comes in the form of Javon Bullard who has the potential to go on Day Two of the draft. One team who is severly lacking safety depth is up North, and has already drafted a few Georgia defenders who are leading their defense. The Green Bay Packers could be a perfect fit for Bullard, with Eric STokes Jr. already in the secondary room, Bullard would catch on quickly. The Philadelphia Eagles could also continue their tradition of drafting good players from the University of Georgia and take Bullard when they are needing a safety badly.

Marcus Rosemay-Jacksaint: Atlanta Falcons

The likelihood of the Atlanta Falcons using a mid-round pick on a Georgia Bulldog seems unlikely due to history, but if they were able to land Marcus Rosemay-Jacksaint, he could provide a legitamant WR2 for the new head coach the Falcons find, and possibly a new quarterback as well. Drake London is showing he can be a serious WR1 threat. Kyle Pitts needs a way to be opened up, and adding another serious recieving threat could do just that. The Falcons WR2 from this season was Mack Hollins, who was the teams fifth-leading reciever, and had 251 yards for the entire season. I could see MRJ falling to them in the mid-to-late rounds of the draft. If not the Falcons, Cleveland, Kansas City, and the Jets could all use his talents.

Tykee Smith: Arizona Cardinals

Tykee Smith is in an odd position with his exceptional play at the STAR position this year. One team that needs all-around secondary help is the Arizona Cardinals. Smith would add a solid piece to their team and provide an upgrade in the secondary room. Learning from Budda Baker, one of the best safeties in the league for multiple years, Smith could form u to be a great defensive back for the Cardinals.

Kendall Milton: Miami Dolphins

Kendall Milton put on a show during the 2023 Orange Bowl, and continiously throughout the 2023 season once he broke through and got past his injuries. Raheem Mostert is also starting to age some, and though he has had a solid year for the Miami Dolphins, they will need some one to backup De'von Achane if he comes back from his injury and performs the way he did to start his career in Miami Gardens. Mike McDaniels would know how to make Kendall Milton their perfect back if the Dolphins take him. If not, the Ravens with Todd Monken could be a good fit.

Daijun Edwards: Houston Texans

Devin Singletary and Damien Pierce were good this season for the Houston Texans, but Singletary isn't always a consistent back. The Texans will need consistency at the position if they want their offense to continue to succedd under the likely Offensive Rookie of the Year, CJ Stroud. Daijun Edwards could provide the consistency they need, and become a solid rotational piece. The Los Angeles Rams could also use Edwards talents.

Zion Logue: Dallas Cowboys

Dallas has produced another good defense under Dan Quinn, but they still lack some pieces. A solid interior run defender could be one of those pieces they are missing, and something that Zion Logue could provide for the Cowboys. His talents could be used for a couple different teams as well, such as the Cleveland Browns, or even the Miami Dolphins.

Tramel Walthour: Carolina Panthers

After a lengthy college career, Tramel Walthour is going too the NFL Draft. He will likely be drafted in the later rounds, but is a solid pick for the team that lands him. I could see him becoming a good piece to the Carolina Panthers as they are in a massive rebuilding stage. Walthour could provide solid deth to that defensive end room in Charlotte.
