Around the League: SEC Matchups to Pay Attention to This Saturday

While the Dawgs take the weekend off, here are some big SEC matchups Georgia fans can tune in to

When Georgia fans wake up this Saturday, they will be greeted with the sinking feeling of knowing that their team will not be playing. Fortunately for Bulldog fans, there will still be plenty of football to watch, especially in the SEC. Here are a few games around the conference that could have ramifications on Georgia's season moving forward.

Tennessee @ Alabama

The Vols snapped a 15-year losing streak to the Tide last year in their instant classic win in Knoxville. This year, both teams share a loss and will be fighting to remain in the hunt for the College Football Playoff. While it may pain Bulldogs fans to cheer for either team, an Alabama win would benefit Georgia more. As it would make securing the SEC East that much easier.

South Carolina @ Missouri

This is another matchup that could make securing the East that much easier for Georgia. The Tigers only have one loss on the season and have greatly exceeded expectations. This matchup will also be interesting since we will see how Shane Beamer and his South Carolina team will respond to last week's heartbreaking loss against Florida.

Ole Miss @ Auburn

The Bulldogs had a scare on the road when they barely defeated the Tigers a few weeks ago. With a very talented Ole Miss team still remaining on the schedule, this matchup could provide even more insight as to what the Bulldogs' future opponent will look like.
