Bulldogs Look to Extend 40-Point Scoring Streak Against Gamecocks on Saturday

Over the past few games, the Bulldogs have been on a historic scoring streak. A streak they will look to extend this Saturday against South Carolina.

The Georgia Bulldogs are currently on one of the most impressive winning streaks in college football. With two straight national titles and a winning streak that spans three separate seasons, Bulldog fans have plenty of reasons to be excited. But the Dawgs are currently on another massive streak that seems to have gone unnoticed by much of the public. 

In the Bulldogs' previous five matchups (dating back to the 2022 SEC Championship), the team's offensive unit has managed to score at least 40 points each game. A streak that is the longest that Georgia has ever had under head coach Kirby Smart.

What makes this statistic so impressive is that they have done so on some of the biggest stages in college football. Including their 65-7 routing of TCU in the 2023 national championship. Another extremely impressive aspect of this is that the Bulldogs have maintained said streak whilst transitioning to both a new quarterback and offensive coordinator.

The Bulldogs will look to extend this impressive streak on Saturday when they host the South Carolina Gamecocks in Athens. Georgia is currently listed as a -27.5-point favorite to win the game.
