Impact Freshmen: Which 2023 Signees Could Play A Role?

The 2023 signing class is settled and complete, for the most part. So, we take a look at a few freshmen that could have an immediate impact on this football team.

Georgia's 2023 signing class is yet again one of the nation's best, finishing with the No. 2 overall class according to 247sports. With 26 true freshmen entering the program this year, 18 of them have already enrolled in school, we take a look at a few freshmen that will likely impact this roster starting this fall as true freshmen.

Georgia's second national title is not won without contributions from true freshmen like Mykel Williams, Malaki Starks, Jalon Walker, Bear Alexander, and even Dillon Bell on the offensive side of the football. So, who could be this year's impact freshmen?

Georgia's 2023 Impact Freshmen

Joenel Aguero

In order to play as a true freshman, you have to be able to be physically prepared for the task at hand. At 6'0, nearing 200+ pounds, Aguero is going to have a much easier transition to the day-to-day pounding that a program like Georgia's undergoes. Additionally, speed of play likely won't be an issue for Aguero, who has not only started in high school since his true freshmen season, but he spent the majority of his career at IMG academy playing against and with the nation's best.

It's not enough to be big enough and fast enough, you also have to have the opportunity to play or at least climb the depth chart. With the departure of Christopher Smith to the NFL, Georgia's David Daniel-Sisavanh appears to be the only competition at safety alongside Malaki Starks. Though former West Virginia transfer Tykee Smith has safety experience in his past.

Jordan Hall

Jordan Hall. That was the number one answer in San Antonio at the Adidas All-American game when asking around about the best interior defensive lineman at the event. It was a similar response to dominance in San Antonio from Mykel Williams a year ago that had his name on many lists like this one. Hall's ability to play with immense pad level and get off is something that will have him in the rotation early at Georgia. Additionally, Georgia's shown a history of playing young defensive linemen when they prove worthy.

Tyler Williams

At 6'3, and 205 pounds, Tyler Williams has the build of a potential true "X" receiver. With the departure of Adonai Mitchell, the Bulldogs will be in search of a receiver that can line up and win their one-on-one. Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint looks poised to assume this role, he has plenty of experience in the program and years of rapport with the presumed starter in quarterback Carson Beck.

Williams comes from a Lakeland High School program down in Florida that has proved a producing grounds for Georgia receivers, it's the former home of Arian Smith.
