WATCH: Peyton Woodyard Talks Commitment and Future With Georgia

Georgia football commit Peyton Woodyard joins the show to talk about why he chose Georgia and what is next for him in his development as a player.

Four-star safety and current Georgia commit Peyton Woodyard spoke with Brooks Austin on The Film Guy Network about a plethora of topics ranging from why he chose the University of Georgia, which coaches played the biggest role in his decision, the role NIL has played, and much more.

On why he chose Georgia:

"You know how you go to a place and you're just like 'I don't know about this man.' Well, I went to Georgia the first time and they were re-modeling, the second time I came back I was like 'yea... this is it. This is the place. This feels like home."

For Woodyard, the decision for the California kid to take the next step of his football life in Athens was never about NIL, it was always about the feeling he got when on campus, and the relationships built with a three-headed monster of defensive back minds.

Defensive backs coach Fran Brown, safeties coach and co-DC Will Muschamp and head coach Kirby Smart with the trilogy that landed Woodyard. The 4-star safety acknowledges that he's on his way to playing in a very fruitful environment for defensive backs.

"I kind of started my relationship with Georgia with coach Fran Brown and we developed a really good relationship and we still do. Then started talking to coach Muschamp and then with Kirby and it all just felt right. And it's cool because you're going to be coached up by all three of those dudes."

Woodyard would go on to say that when he was at practice he noticed Muschamp would have the safeties for one portion of practice and Fran Brown would have the corners, then midway through, they switch. So, you're receiving a variety of complex and high-level coaching on the regular, something that Woodyard called a "dream scenario" for a young and developing defensive back.
