Week three of the NFL season was a wild weekend of football. The Miami Dolphins and Isaiah Wynn put a  butt whopping on the Denver Broncos, scoring 70 points yesterday afternoon. Although Wynn and the Dolphins had a record-breaking performance, the other Georgia players who played yesterday were fairly quiet on the field despite some impressive early performances

Thursday Night Football

Andrew Thomas and the New York Giants were in another Primetime game following their playoff season last year. They traveled to San Francisco to play the 49ers. The Giants ended up losing their second game of the season with a final score of 30-12. Thomas did not play in the game because he was ruled out with a hamstring injury

The Detroit Lions handed the Atlanta Falcons their first loss of the season when Lorenzo Carter, John Fitzpatrick, and company came to the Motor City for the Falcons' first away game of the season. Amon Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta combined for 186 receiving yards and a touchdown, while rookie RB Jahmyr Gibbs led the way on the ground, rushing for 80 yards to lead the way to their 20-6 victory. Gibbs' former teammate, Brian Branch, had a great day defensively for the Lions, leading them in tackles with 11 total and three of them being for a loss. Carter and Fitzpatrick both had a tackle in their loss.

Quay Walker and Devonte Wyatt helped lead a second-half surge that saw the Green Bay Packers ruin the New Orleans Saints perfect season in a nailbitter, defeating them 18-17. The Packers' defense posted a second-half shutout that was followed by an 18-point fourth-quarter performance by the Pack offense. Quay Walker led the team in tackles with seven total; Wyatt had two tackles in the meantime.

Just like the Lions, Isaiah McKenzie and the Indianapolis Colts took out one of the NFL's remaining undefeated teams, defeating Roquan Smith, Ben Cleveland, and Nick Moore, and the Baltimore Ravens in an overtime contest. Mckenzie had one catch for three yards in the 22-19 overtime win. Meanwhile, Smith was tied for the team lead in tackles, with 12 total, and tallied a sack.

Travon Walker, Tyson Campbell, and the Jacksonville Jaguars' early season struggles continue, as they let up 32 points against the Houston Texans to win their first game of the season in Jacksonville. Walker had two tackles for loss to add to his total of four, and Campbell had three of his own. The Mark Richt era will meet the Kirby Smart era from Georgia next week in London, as Lorenzo Carter and the Falcons will play Walker, Campbell, and the Jaguars that morning on ESPN and Disney+ in "Andy's Room" from Toy Story, where the players are playing live, but animated like they're from Toy Story.

The Buffalo Bills move to 2-1 on the season, defeating the Washington Commanders 37-3 yesterday. James Cook led the way for the Bills on the ground, carrying the ball 15 times for 98 yards and an average of 6.5 yards per carry. He also had two catches for 15 yards. Leonard Floyd had a monster game on the other side of the ball, getting three tackles, two sacks, and three QB hits.

The Carolina Panthers, Troy Hill, and Justin Houston continued their winless season against the Seattle Seahawks, who nabbed their first win on their home turf, 37-27.  Kenneth Walker III led the way on the ground for the Seahawks, picking up 97 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries, averaging 5.4 yards per carry. Despite losing this game, Hill had four total tackles, and Houston had two tackles and two QB hits.

Jonathan Ledbetter and the Arizona Cardinals pulled off the biggest upset of Sunday when the Dallas Cowboys came to town and were gunned down. Former Tennesse quarterback Jodh Dobbd was slinging the rock, completing 17/21 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown while tucking it six more times for 55 yards. Ledbetter had four total tackles along the way to their first win of the season.

Sunday Night Football

George Pickens, Broderick Jones, and Darnell Washington picked up their second win with the Pittsburgh Steelers when they faced off against their former teammate from the Las Vegas Raiders, Zamir White, defeating them 23-18. Georgia Pickens led the way for the Steelers receiving-wise, hauling in four receptions on six targets for 75 yards, averaging 18.8 yards per catch and a long 32. Zamir White missed the game with an ankle injury.

Monday Night Football

Another exciting slate of MNF games as the NFL is providing fans with another week of two games in Primetime. The first game of the night hosted the most Dawgs on the field. Jake Camarda and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosted the Philadelphia Eagles and their squadron of Georgia players in the first game, such as Jalen Carter, who made a serious first-half impact, such as his sack and key forced fumble. For the later game, Derion Kendrick and the Los Angeles Rams were also in a tough battle against Jamaar Chase and the Cincinnati Bengals.

The current Georgia Bulldogs team is bound to have a first-round pick. But things are looking good for the Bulldogs on all levels of football.
