Nolan Smith Recalls Kelee Ringo's Interception in 2022 National Championship

For Georgia fans, the past two college football seasons have been a dream come true. After ending a 41-year national championship drought, the Bulldogs followed up their successes with a 15-0 season and a victory in the 2023 national championship.
While Bulldog fans certainly revel in the memories the previous two seasons have brought, it seems that the players do as well. During a press conference for the Eagles this week, Nolan Smith was asked to recount his emotions after Kelee Ringo's game-winning interception in the 2022 national championship.
"Man. I could relive that moment all day." Said Smith with a big smile on his face.
During his retelling of the iconic play, Smith joked that head coach Kirby Smart had instructed Ringo to go down after catching the ball, but all the players on the defense refused.
"I just remember Coach Smart saying 'Go down!' and we were like 'Hell no, let's go.' Everybody was saying 'No Kelee, don't go down!"

Ringo and Smith almost certainly share the same memories with fellow Eagles teammates Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, and Nakobe Dean who were also an integral part of the Bulldog's dominant defense in 2021 and will be looking to make similar memories with the Philadelphia Eagles this upcoming season.
