Ethan Barbour Set to Make Commitment Decision

The 6' 3" tight end from Alpharetta High School, Ethan Barbour, will announce his commitment decision soon when he chooses between Georgia, Ohio State, South Carolina, Alabama, and Auburn. He will make his commitment decision on Friday afternoon.

From Alpharetta High School, Barbour is ranked as a 4-star prospect within the class of 2025. According to 247Sports, Barbour is the fourth-best tight end for the 2025 class, the 21st-best player in the state of Georgia, and a top-200 recruit nationally. Bourbour is a prospect with high promise, especially in the passing game.

Two Friday nights ago, when Alpharetta took on Chattahoochee, Barbour led the way to their only victory of the season, hauling in 210 receiving yards for four touchdowns on just six catches. So far, the Dawgs seem to have the lead in his recruitment, and that may be because Dylan Raiola and everyone out on campus on September 9th helped Kirby Smart and Todd Hartley sell Georgia to Barbour. This would mean that Hartley has landed the 2024 classes' No. 2 tight end and the 2025 classes' No. 1 and No. 4 TEs.

Other than Georgia, Auburn has recently seen a visit from the 6' 3" 235-pound tight end. Barbour's recruitment has been ablaze since his senior season started, though, picking up 12 offers on August 23rd, when Virginia Tech began the roll of offers, and was followed by Ohio State, LSU, North Carolina, and Oregon.

He will announce his decision on the 247Sports YouTube channel on September 22 at 2:00 p.m.
