Terrence Ferguson Commits to Alabama

Georgia native and 4-Star offensive lineman Terrence Ferguson has committed to Alabama.

Terrence Ferguson, a native of Fort Valley, Georgia, and a star offensive lineman at Peach County High School, has committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Ferguson commitment concludes a big week for Alabama in the trenches after securing the commitments of both of the highly coveted Brockermeyer twins earlier in the week.

At 6'4" 300 pounds, Ferguson has the prototypical SEC road grader look to him. The footwork that Ferguson displays at his size is quite impressive and bodes well for his chances to play tackle at Alabama. However, with the athleticism that Ferguson displays he could easily kick inside to guard if needed early on in his career.

Two characteristics of Ferguson's game that jump out when you watch him are his abilities to maintain blocks and his desire and determination to compete and, as Kirby Smart likes to refer to it as, strain through the echo of the referee's whistle. The qualities endured him to every major program in the country, especially UGA. Matt Luke and the Georgia staff were consistent and intentional in their pursuit of Ferguson, but ultimately they unable to convince the big man to join the stockpile of talent in Athens.

Georgia is in great position to land 5-Star Amarius Mims on August 15th and the big man was even spotted in Athens last night with Dawg QB commit Brock Vandagriff. Also, with the miss on Ferguson, UGA is likely to hone in on prospects like Noah Josey and Dietrick Pennington to round out their 2021 offensive line class.
