Live Updates: Georgia Tech Faces Rival Georgia in Game One of Weekend Series
It is time for Clean, Old Fashioned Hate.
Georgia Tech and Georgia square off tonight in Athens in game one of the weekend series and being a big rivalry, the stakes are always high between these two baseball programs.
Georgia Tech comes into this game undefeated at 9-0, while the Bulldogs have lost twice already this season and are at 6-2. Earlier this week, Georgia Tech scored 23 runs on Long Island in a victory and then beat Kennesaw State 5-4 on Wednesday. Georgia defeated Presbyterian on Wednesday 11-6.
Dawson Brown will be the starting pitcher tonight for Georgia Tech and here is the lineup that the Yellow Jackets will be using:
1. CF- Jake DeLeo
2. IF- Angelo Dispigna
3. RF- Stephen Reid
4. DH- Jackson Finley
5. C- Jack Rubenstein
6. 2B- Nicholas Romano
7. 1B- John Geisler
8. 3B- Nico Senese
9. SS- Demitri Diamant
The game was originally slated to start at 6:00, but the start time initially was pushed to 7:00 before a lightning delay suspended play indefinitely. Eventually, the weather gave way and the first pitch was scheduled for 8:20.
