A one out double from Hernandez put a runner on and then a one out RBI single from Lackey pushed the lead to 14-5. Zuckerman and Baker struck out swinging to end the inning, but the lead is now nine runs.
Top of the 7th
Jake Lankie came in to replace Campbell in the 7th inning. He gave up one single, but no runs. Georgia Tech leads 13-5 going into the bottom of the 7th
Bottom of the 6th
Burress walked to start the inning, but was picked off at first for the first out. A walk for Schmidt, a single from Hernandez, and a walk from Lackey loaded the bases with one out. A wild pitch scored one run to make it 8-5. Zuckerman struck out, but then Baker walked to load the bases again with two outs. Rogers drew a bases loaded walk to score another run and make it 9-5.
Kerce broke the game open with a 3-RBI double to push the lead to 12-5 and the top of the lineup was back up for Georgia Tech. An RBI single from Advincula pushed the lead to 13-5 and then Burress grounded out to end the inning. It was a six run inning for Georgia Tech.

A pair of two-out doubles gave Stony Brook an extra run to cut the lead to 7-5, but Georgia Tech holds the lead heading to the bottom of the inning.
Bottom of the 5th
A single from Kerce brought Hernandez to the plate and he gave the lead right back to Georgia Tech with a two-run home run. Lackey singled to put another runner on, but Zuckerman lined into a double play. Baker reached with a ground rule double and then another two-run home run courtesy of Rogers extended the lead to 7-4 heading to the 6th.

After a leadoff single, Caden Gaudette replaced Tate McKee. After hitting a batter, Gaudette gave up a three-run home to give Stony Brook the lead 4-3. Gaudette struck out the next batter, but was then replaced by Kayden Campbell. He struck out the last batter, but for the first time this season, Georgia Tech is trailing in a game 4-3.

Kerce singles, but no runs for the Yellow Jackets. Georgia Tech leads 3-1 heading to the 5th.

A single and a walk put two runners on and a wild pitch scored the first run of the game for Stony Brook. Georgia Tech leads 3-1 going to the bottom of the 4th.
Bottom of the 3rd
A two-out RBI single from Baker scored the third run of the game to make it 3-0. Rogers flew out to end the inning, but the lead grew for the Yellow Jackets.

McKee pitches a scoreless 1-2-3 inning. Yellow Jackets lead 2-0 heading to the bottom of the third.

Two walks and a single from Zuckerman loaded the bases and a walk from Kerce scored the first run of the game to make it 1-0. Advincula was HBP to make it 2-0, but Burress left three stranded after a pop up. Georgia Tech leads 2-0 heading to the 3rd.

Tate McKee is on the mound this afternoon, making his start for the Yellow Jackets.
The Yellow Jackets make their return home after a short road trip to Georgia Southern. Georgia Tech picked up a 25-1 win and are one of the best teams in the nation offensively this season. It was the largest margin of victory in the BBCOR era and largest overall since 2005. The Ramblin Wreck 75 runs has tied a Power 4 record in the BBCOR era. They look to get off to a blistering start and defeat Stony Brook in their first ever meeting.
