Who are the top 2025 Basketball Targets For Georgia Tech?

Top 2025 Basketball Targets For Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech recruiting has seen a bit of an upswing since Damon Stoudamire took over in Atlanta, seeing two top 100 players (Jaeden Mustaf and Darrion Sutton) commit to Georgia Tech and they are in the mix for several other top prospects in the 2025 class. Stoudamire is working to turn the program around and recruiting is going to be one of the ways they can make that happen.

With that in mind, who are the top 2025 targets to keep an eye on for the 2025 class?

Holy Innocents F Caleb Wilson-

Wilson is one of the best players in the country and is a catch for a lot of major D1 programs in the country. Talents like his don’t come around often.

According to 247sports Composite, Wilson is rated as a five-star player, the No. 4 player nationally, the No.2 power forward, and No.1 in Georgia. Wilson took a visit to the Yellow Jackets in November and picked up an offer from the program last April. He holds a total of 23 offers with notable programs like Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Auburn, North Carolina, and Tennessee offering.

Wilson can do a little bit of everything on the basketball court. He can handle the ball and generate offense for himself and open looks for others. In high school, Wilson generated a lot of double-teams because of his scoring prowess. He can score on all three levels of the floor. Wilson can drive to the rim and finish with ease. Wilson is also an efficient shooter from three and can space the floor on offense.

Defensively, he is a pest. Wilson can guard the opposing team’s best player and switch to guard multiple positions. He uses his long reach and athletic ability to block shots and defend at a high level. For the past three seasons, Wilson has led Holy Innocents in blocked shots and blocked shots per game. In 2023-2024, he is averaging 3.6 blocks per game.

This year, Wilson has led Holy Innocents to a 9-5 record against some stout competition. Wilson has played against defending state champion Wheeler, Woodward Academy, McEachern, one of the best teams in North Carolina in North Mecklenburg, and top-ranked Alexander.

Wilson is averaging 21.6 points and 11.6 rebounds this season. He leads his team in rebounds and has the past two seasons. His best game this season came against Stephenson on December 8th. Wilson was playing at another level and nearly finished the game with a quadruple-double. In the game, he finished with 22 points, 20 rebounds, nine assists, and nine blocks putting the full repertoire on display.

Grayson F Amir Taylor-

Amir Taylor is a talented low-post scorer with a great touch around the rim. Perhaps one of his best attributes is his rebounding ability and crashing the offensive glass. Taylor keeps plays alive with his ability to crash the glass and create more opportunities for others and himself. He hustles for the basketball and you can find him diving for loose balls and constantly attacking the low post.

Taylor has continued to improve his passing out of the post and has become really good at it. His 6’7 235 pound frame draws a lot of double-teams and bodies sent in his direction in the post. He’s continued to get better at recognizing when the double team is coming, making a play for his teammates, and finding the open man.

He is also dependable and can be relied on to score the basketball at a high clip if needed. Despite playing for a talented Grayson basketball program that is oozing with D1 talent, Taylor has led the team in scoring several nights this season.

Although not nationally ranked, Taylor holds offers from Georgia, Georgia Tech, Georgia State, Kennesaw State, NJIT, North Carolina AT&T, and UNC Greensboro. Georgia Tech was the most recent offer that he picked up in November along with NJIT.

In a tournament in late December, he was named to the All-Tournament team at the Chick-fil-A Classic in South Carolina, where he averaged 14.3 points per game and ten rebounds. Perhaps his most impressive game this season came in the Chick-fil-A Classic, where he scored 20 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and added three steals in a win over Imani Christian.

In his latest game against North Broward Prep, Taylor finished with eight points, five rebounds, and three assists. He is a player who always does what you ask him and has continued to improve his game on both ends of the floor.

Shiloh F Tylis Jordan-

Tylis Jordan has become a heavily coveted prospect in the 2025 class. His recruiting really picked up in the spring and summer of 2023. Jordan can run the floor well and finishes around the rim with ease. If you aren’t careful, you may end up on a poster. In addition to scoring around the rim, Jordan is great in the low post and is adept at getting to his sweet spot and making the defense pay.

His shooting ability has impressed a lot of programs and is a reason why Jordan’s name picked up a lot of steam in recruiting in 2023. He picked up offers from Illinois, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, Virginia Tech, SMU, USF, Ole Miss, Georgia, Old Dominion, Tulane, and Georgia Tech. Georgia Tech offered Jordan in late November.

Tylis Jordan is having a strong junior season for the Shiloh Generals averaging 23 points per game and nine rebounds. He’s increased his scoring (12.5 PPG) and rebounding (6.3) from his sophomore season in 2022. His best game of the season thus far came against Carrollton where he scored 32 points, grabbed seven rebounds, dished out four assists, and had three blocks and two steals on defense.

Jordan also defends at a high level on defense and uses his athletic ability to defend the rim and can switch on multiple positions defensively. His best defensive game came against Salem (GA) where he finished the game with three steals and two blocks. Jordan can affect the game offensively and defensively and always plays at a high level.

According to the 247sports composite, Jordan is a four-star player, he is rated as the No. 82 player nationally, No. 17 small forward, and No. 9 player in Georgia. On3 Sports has him as one of the biggest risers in their recent 150 ranking, and he ranks as high as the No. 20 overall player in the country

Osborne G Akai Fleming-

Akai Fleming is a dynamic shooting guard and a bucket-getter for the Cardinals. He’s a three-level scorer who can create his own shot against any opponent. Fleming had a big sophomore season averaging 18.1 points per game for Osborne, and picked up recruiting steam in the AAU circuit this past summer where he averaged 18.6 points per game with the Atlanta Celtics.

An underrated part of his game is his ability to be a playmaker and create offense for others. Fleming has an uncanny ability to collapse the defense and get to his spot in the mid-range and torch defenders while also dishing out assists to big men and shooters on the perimeter.

According to 247Sports Composite, Fleming is rated as a four-star player, the No.44 player nationally, the No. 7 shooting guard, and the No. 7 player in the state. He holds offers from Alabama, Cincinnati, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida, Indiana, Kansas State, Kennesaw State, LSU, SMU, Missouri, Mississippi State, Providence, and Auburn.

Fleming’s junior season has been plagued by injury so far, but he is a dynamic scorer that can score anywhere on the court. Despite only playing in five games this season, Fleming leads Osborne in scoring (19.6), assists (3.4) and steals (1.6). In three of the five games played, Fleming scored 20 points and eclipsed 15 points in each game. He can get hot at any moment and can score the basketball in bunches. Osborne certainly misses his presence and is 2-5 without him this season.

Fleming took a visit to Georgia Tech in 2023, and he remains a high priority for the Yellow Jackets. With his ability to score at a high clip, and defend multiple positions major D1 programs have been calling. He talked with On3 Sports, about his visit to the Yellow Jackets and what stood out about the program. Read more about the visit below.
