Georgia Tech Basketball Hires UAB Assistant Terry Parker
Georgia Tech head coach Damon Stoudamire has added another coach to his staff.
UAB assistant coach Terry Parker is going to be joining the Yellow Jackets program as an assistant coach.
Parker had been on the UAB coaching staff since 2020. He had previously coached at Indiana State, Utah Valley and Nicholls State. He played at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay for two seasons before transferring to Louisiana Tech to finish his playing career.
Stoudamire has had a busy offseason between hiring his coaching staff and putting together a transfer class that is currently ranked 10th on 247Sports.
UAB assistant Terry Parker is going to be joining the staff at Georgia Tech
The other two coaches that have joined the staff this offseason are Karl Hobbs and Pershin Williams.
Hobbs is a coaching veteran and had been at Rutgers since 2016. Previous stops include two stints at UConn (2011-2016 as the assistant coach and director of basketball administration, 1993-2000 assistant coach/recruiting coordinator), George Washington (2001-2010, head coach), and his first stop was at Boston University (1988-1993).
As the head coach, Hobbs led George Washington to three NCAA Tournament appearances and as an assistant coach at UConn in 2014, he was a part of the coaching staff that won the national championship.
