2025 Georgia Tech Target Marshall Pritchett Makes College Decision

One of Georgia Tech's 2025 targets made his college decision today and he is not choosing to come play in Atlanta.

2025 tight end Marshall Pritchett chose North Carolina over Georgia Tech and others. Pritchett plays at Rabun Gap High School in Georgia.

The schools in his top six include Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Michigan, and Miami.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Pritchett is the No. 410 player in the country, the No. 24 tight end in the country, and the No. 44 player in the state of Georgia.

Some stats and info on Pritchett, courtesy of 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins:

"2022: Made the position switch from QB to TE/WR. Self-reported 52 catches for 900 yards and 9 TD. Earned some all-conference recognition after helping Rabun Gap-Nacoochee post an 8-4 record.

"Athletic tight end prospect with quality ball skills that excels as a two-level pass catcher. Started his prep career off playing quarterback before changing positions and moving out wide. Size hasn’t been third-party verified, but is believed to be over 6-foot-4 with a more projectable frame. Uses high football IQ to take advantage of zone coverage and has proven to be rather competitive in catch-and-run situations. Owns limited in-line experience, but is a willing blocker out on the perimeter and should get only more effective as a lead escort with improved play strength. Projects as an F-tight end on Saturdays that can line up in the wing or in the slot and create mismatches. Likely will need a developmental year or two to get the body right, but has a chance to make an impact at the Power Four level with his receiving acumen."

This is one that head coach Brent Key and his staff would have loved to land, but there are still plenty of targets on the board for the Yellow Jackets. Georgia Tech is still working to land its first commitment in the class of 2025.
