Four Offensive Players Who Have Risen Their Stock in Georgia Tech's Fall Camp

In this story:
Georgia Tech has had one of the best offenses in the ACC over the past few seasons, but they are having to replace a lot of the players responsible for those numbers.
Haynes King, Jamal Haynes, Malik Rutherford, Keylan Rutledge, Joe Fusile, and others played and started for the Yellow Jackets for multiple years, but Georgia Tech had to replace them this offseason. They dipped into the transfer portal to help them do that, but they are also going to be relying on the development of younger players to help fill these voids.
With fall camp wrapping up, who are some players who raised their stock over the past few weeks.
RB Trelain Maddox

All of the attention in the Georgia Tech running back room is deservingly on Justice Haynes and Malachi Hosley. Both of those players are going to be huge parts of Georgia Tech's offense, but there is one player who has been around the program for multiple years that looks ready for a bigger role.
Trelain Maddox has battled injuries, dating back to his high school career, but he is a big, physical back who plays with real toughness. As good as Haynes and Hosley are, they are not that and are more of home-run-type hitters at the position.
Maddox has performed well and while he may not have a large role on this team, I think he is going to have a role.
WR Dalen Penson
Georgia Tech has one of the most inexperienced wide reciever corps in the country and only Jordan Allen has caught a pass at the power four level. The Yellow Jackets brought in Isaiah Fuhrmann (Elon) and Jaiven Plummer (California) from the transfer portal, with Fuhrmann expected to be a top target for Alberto Mendoza this season, along with Allen.
But Georgia Tech has been in need of someone to step up at the third wide receiver, and Dalen Penson has been able to do so in camp. Penson brings blazing speed and athleticism that you would expect from a former Top 100 recruit. Georgia Tech needs players to step up on the outside and Penson might be a sneaky good threat at WR this season.
TE Kevin Roche Jr
Roche Jr has carried the strong momentum from a good spring into fall camp and he has been one of the favorite targets for Mendoza through camp.
His excellent size and catch radius make him a natural target in the redzone, but I think that Roche is going to be used for much more than that. He might not lead the team in receiving, but he is going to take a step up this season for the Yellow Jackets.
OL Kevin Peay Jr
Georgia Tech is going to have three new starters this season on the offensive line and Peay Jr has taken the spot at left guard that was left vacant by Joe Fusile.
While just a second year player who has yet to start a game, Peay has impressed throughout camp, cross-training at multiple positions and ready to play a big role for the Yellow Jackets in 2026.
