Georgia Tech Weekly Recruiting Update: 5/15

Georgia Tech has had a busy week in recruiting.

The Yellow Jackets have not only been sending out new offers but have two new commitments, including the new quarterback of the future.

Let's recap the week that was in Georgia Tech recruiting.

1. 2024 defensive lineman Kobby Sakyi-Prah receives offer from Georgia Tech

2024 defensive lineman Kobby Sakyi-Prah (Roswell, GA) picked up an offer from the Yellow Jackets. He also has offers from Tulane and Indiana.

2. 2026 wide receiver Jakai Anderson receives an offer from Georgia Tech

3. Georgia Tech offers 2024 three-star defensive end Amontrae Bradford

Bradford (Statesboro, GA) also holds offers from Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Indiana, Minnesota, and USF, among others.

4. Four-star defensive end Dealyn Evans sets official visit date

Four-star defensive end and Texas A&M commit Dealyn Evans set his Georgia Tech official visit date for the weekend of June 16th. He also has visits lined up to TCU and Florida.

5. Georgia transfer wide receiver Dominick Blaylock commits to Georgia Tech

Blaylock had been in the portal since January and made a nice addition to the Georgia Tech offense. Blaylock has been battling injuries during his time in Athens but is an explosive receiver when healthy and he would give the Georgia Tech offense a much-needed weapon on the outside. Last season, Blaylock had 15 catches for 227 yards and averaged over 15.1 yards per catch.

6. 2025 wide receiver Marshall Pritchett receives an offer from Georgia Tech

7. Kansas State transfer cornerback Omar Daniels commits to Georgia Tech.

The second transfer pickup of the week for Georgia Tech was in the secondary when Kansas State corner Omar Daniels committed to Georgia Tech. Daniels only played two seasons for the Wildcats and gathered two tackles in each season. The 6'0 178 LBS cornerback is originally from Georgia and is coming back to his home state to try and bring something to the back of Georgia Tech's defense.

8. USF defensive line transfer Eddie Kelly commits to Georgia Tech

Kelly played one season for the Bulls and he totaled 19 tackles, a fumble recovery, and a pass deflection last season.

9. Georgia Tech and quarterback Jakhari Williams part ways

11. 2024 offensive lineman Felix Doege sets official visit date to Georgia Tech

12. 2024 offensive tackle Jordan Floyd receives offer from Georgia Tech

Floyd also has offers from Florida State, Kentucky, Maryland, Pitt, Tennessee, and Ole Miss, among others.

Here are some accomplishments and stats courtesy of 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins:

"2022: Peach State Class A Division 1 Offensive Player of the Year. Led Prince Avenue Christian to a perfect 14-0 record and a title. Completed 274 of 397 pass attempts (69 percent) for 4,598 yards with 54 TD to go against 8 INT. Also carried the ball 68 times for 361 yards (5.3 average) and 8 more scores. Threw for 5 TD or more in 6 games. That included in the state championship against Swainsboro where he was 21 of 32 for 477 yards with 6 TD and 1 INT. Studied under former college coach Jon Richt."

Philo's other offers include Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, Cincinnati, UConn, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Georgia Southern, James Madison, Liberty, MTSU, Old Dominion, UCF, and Western Michigan.
